- Héctor will be teaching Experimental Music during the summer semester of 2010 at the
Universität der Künste (University of the Arts) in Berlin. The course aims to address the
problems that arise when "New Contemporary Music" consolidates, thus becoming an
"official" art expression, therefore lacking in spontaneity and liveliness, in impetus.
Through reflection and practical exercises, the course sessions will try to awake
the dormant creative faculties of classical trained musicians.
- The clarinetist Fie Schouten (on bass clarinet) together with Marko Kassl (accordion) and
Koen Kaptijn (trombone) recorded Héctor's piece "Lichtzwang" for the Karnatic Lab Records.
They will present the CD, which also includes pieces by Grisey, Hosokawa, Wolff and Mukarno,
on february 14th in Amsterdam.
- Héctor performed together with Sascha Armbruster on saxophone & Dave Bennett on guitar
during the "Impresiones Sonoras" Symposium in Berlin. Organized by the Institut für Neue Musik
(Institut for New Music) of the Universität der Künste and the Hanns Eisler Musikhochschule,
the concert took place on July the 3th. Check out the video with a performance excerpt!
- My experimental / electronic trio ALLÉE DU KLANG released its "Live in Berlin 2005" CD
